The U.S. government has announced a presidential order entitled “Suspension of De Minimis Treatment for All Countries” with respect to mail items addressed to the United States.
According to this presidential order, for postal items containing goods imported for personal consumption, the de minimis exemption will be suspended as of August 29 of this year, and customs duties will be imposed.
As a result, we have received information that mail items addressed to the United States are experiencing significant delays at customs or in delivery.
