About packing

* When we receive items from sellers/shops, we take out the items from the box, and check if there is any damages on the item.
* When we pack your items, we repack the items carefully into a new sturdy cardboard box with enough buffer material.
* If you purchase items from several sellers/shops, we will combine the items into one box (or minimum number of boxes) to save international shipping cost. The combining fee is basically free. (If a large box is used, a packaging fee may be charged.)

Registered Small Packet ended on December 31, 2025. For future shipments of relatively small and inexpensive items, ePacket Light is available. While tracking is available, insurance is NOT included. Packages are generally delivered to the mailbox without requiring a signature. Due to the risk of loss, this shipping method is not recommended for valuable items.

The following six shipping methods are available. (Some shipping methods are not available to certain countries.)
We show the features of each shipping methods on the following table.

UPS Saver
 It's very fast and reasonable price. Usually it takes 3-7 days to arrive. They does not operate on Saturdays, Sundays and National holidays. The shipping fee mainly depends on the size of the package.
Shipping costs are inexpensive except to Oceania.
It's very rare to lose the parcels on delivery.
 Parcel is insured without limitation. (up to the contents value.)
The insurance fee is included in the shipping fee.
DHL Express
 It's the fastest and safest service. Usually it takes 3-5 days to arrive.
They operate as usual on Saturdays, Sundays and National holidays. The shipping fee mainly depends on the size of the package.
It's very rare to lose the parcels on delivery. They operate on Saturdays and Sundays.
 Parcel is insured without limitation. (up to the contents value.)
The insurance fee is fixed 2500 yen for the contents whose value is up to 210000 yen.
When the contents value exceeds 210000 yen, the insurance fee is 1.2% of the contents value.
EMS
Express Mail Service (Japan Post) 		It's very fast service. Usually it takes 3-7 days to arrive. They operate as usual on Saturdays, Sundays and National holidays.
Shipping fees are determined by weight, so lightweight but large items are relatively cheaper to ship. It's rare to lose parcels on delivery. 		Parcel is insured without limitation. (up to the contents value.)
We will bear the insurance cost.
AIR PARCEL POST
(Japan Post) 		It takes 6-10 days to arrive. It's possible to track the package.
The shipping rate to China, Korea, Taiwan is considerably lower than EMS. 		A basic insurance fee is included in the shipping fee. The coverage varies from 11,160 yen to 31,230 yen depending on the weight of the package.

SURFACE PARCEL POST
(Japan Post)		 It's very reasonable price. It's possible to track the package. We recommend this method for heavy items.
Usually it takes 2-3 months. (It takes 1-2 months for East Asia.)
 A basic insurance fee is included in the shipping fee. The coverage varies from 11,160 yen to 31,230 yen depending on the weight of the package.

ePACKET LIGHT
(Japan Post)		 Tracking is available, but there is no insurance. This shipping method is used for relatively small and low-value items. Delivery usually takes 6–10 days.
This service can be used for packages weighing up to 2 kg (up to 5 kg for books). The total of length, width, and height must be within 90 cm.		 Tracking is available; however, there is no insurance coverage. The package is generally delivered to the mailbox without requiring a signature. Due to the risk of loss, this shipping method is not recommended for valuable items.
ECMS It's very reasonable in Asia & Oceania. Especially, the shipping rate to Australia is considerably low. It usually takes 5–9 days to arrive. The shipping fee mainly depends on package size, and parcel loss is very rare. Available for packages up to 160 cm (L+W+H) and 30 kg. You cannot send goods worth more than 200,000 yen in a single shipment. Items valued up to 100 USD are covered by the basic insurance. For items over 100 USD, an insurance fee of 330 yen will be charged.

※Please refer to the table at the bottom of this page for EMS and Parcel Post size limits.
※The weight limit we can handle is 30kg for all shipping methods.

Extra Packing Fee

- If the size or weight of a package exceeds certain limits, a packaging fee will be charged. If both size and weight trigger an additional fee, the higher of the two fees will apply. These packaging fees include the cost of packing materials such as cardboard boxes.
- For fishing rods, if the package length is 150cm - 200cm the fee is 1,500 yen, if it is 201cm or longer the fee is 2,000 yen.
- For most countries, EMS has a maximum length limit of 150cm. DHL and UPS allow packages up to 240cm in length, although additional charges may apply.

- Shipments exceeding 2kg are only available if they are classified as "Printed matter".

Insurance Claim Instructions

GOODY JAPAN is not responsible for any damage or loss during transport.
Basically we will take out an insurance for the package.
And the compensation will be limited up to the declared value on the shipping label.

Steps for claiming your insurance. (In the case of postal shipping service.)

1)If your item was damaged during transport, please leave the package as it is to make a claim. And then please call to your local carrier immediately, and please also let us know about the issue by email. And then please have your local Post Office make a Damage Report.

2)We will inform Japan Post about the issue, and after they confirm the Damage Report, they will initiate the claim procedure. This process may take more than 2 weeks. And the payment for the compensation may take more than 6 months.

*** In the case of DHL or UPS, please contact us by email as soon as you notice any damage to your items.

WE DO NOT HELP YOU MAKE CLAIMS FOR:

1) Items that are marked JUNK , SOLD AS-IS or NO CLAIM in your auctions.

2) Electronics that are damaged prior to shipping or after arrival.

3) Items claimed after 7 days of arrival , please make your claim immediately.

4) Fraudulent claims.

Size and Weight limit

For all shipping methods, we do not handle packages weighing 30kg or more.
About EMS / Parcel Post shipping fees, please refer to the following table.
(The size and weight limit of shipping varies upon a country the buyer lives in.)
For DHL and UPS, we can handle packages whose dimensional size is less than 260cm.

We will not handle the item that is oversize or overweight, so please think carefully about the item size and weight before you order us.
After making order, if you noticed that the item is oversize or overweight, please send us an email about it as soon as possible. We will ask the seller to cancel it.
If the item could be separated into a few parts, we might send the package as a multiple package. But in this case the shipping cost will be increased. And the re-packing fee will be required.
